The weather can be a concern wherever you live, here we might have storms that bring decisions to be made. Be prepared to leave home for a hotel 5 miles away and return when it is over. The house has protected us well however we have had to replace sand, which is a maintenance expense that can be recurring. If I were to do it again I would buy a used John Deere small riding mower with a scoop front to move my plants, mulch and sand to where I wanted it.
